SMC Heritage are proud to present this stunning 1995 Porsche 993 Cabriolet finished in stunning Polar Silver with a comprehensive service history and just 78,925 miles.
Porsche 993 Background :
The Porsche 993 is the last of its kind, the pinnacle of air-cooled design and with just a 4 year production run it is the bridge from classic to modern 911’s. As such it has quite rightly won its place in the hearts and garages of enthusiasts and investors alike. They are modern enough to make the early cars and even the 964 seem archaic yet the proximity to the upright windscreen, the compact dimensions and the old-school interior and switchgear just ooze retro charm. The air-cooled motor has so much character compared to its water-cooled replacements, whirring and purring in its unique style.
Provenance and Service History:
Built in 1995 to C16 UK Specification it was registered on the 01/08/1995 by JCT600 Porsche Newcastle on the then brand new N Registration. The car remained in the UK for the first few years of its life before being exported, initially to Guernsey and then to Jersey. It remained in Jersey until it was repatriated to a UK collector in 2017. Fortunately, its wanderlust is well documented by the maintenance of its extensive service history whilst in warmer climes. Island life was certainly kind both in terms of keeping the miles down and protection from harsh British winters and salt strewn roads. Looking at the invoices it appears the vehicle was professionally stored during the winter months as there are several storage invoices
The car is supplied with all booklets and instructions in the original black leather embossed book pack and a folder brimming with receipts, invoices and old MOT’s to support the service stamps further validating the mileage. All keys are present along the tools, spare and Porsche inflation kit.

Having spent a lot of its life in a much milder climate and evidently having been stored through winter the L92M Polar Silver Metallic paint is in fantastic order throughout with perfect factory shut lines and a deep glossy finish. The blue roof is in good condition with little sign of wear, the seals are also refreshingly free from damage and or wear. All lights, badges and trims including the heckblende are present, correct and free from fading, damage or discoloration. The 17” alloys are factory correct, unmarked and shod with the watching Pirelli tyres. Behind the alloys the calipers are still vibrant red with crisp unfaded Porsche lettering
The interior is a fabulous place to reside. The electrically adjustable sports seats are finished in marble grey leather that perfectly co-ordinates with the metropole blue dashtop and the stunning exterior colour. All the switch gear is in perfect working order and the leather is only showing minor signs of wear and the carpets are unmarked having been protected by genuine Porsche over mats. The boot area is in good order with only minor marks to the plastics to show use and the carpets remain taught and undamaged. The all-important build sticker is still present
On the Road:
Perhaps unsparingly given the low miles and impeccable upkeep it drives with a time warp tautness you that you could only find with a low mileage perfectly maintained example. With a 0-60 sub 6 seconds and on to a top speed North of 170mph the 993 is certainly no slouch. However, where the 993 truly stands proud from the rest of its peers and modern rivals is on the road. It offers a superb sense of occasion and a visceral driving experience that many more modern and often vastly more powerful cars simply cannot replicate. The flat six is turbine smooth and surprisingly quiet at low revs but push the floor hinged throttle a little further and it comes alive as the air-cooled engine barks into life and echoes around you.
With just 78,925 miles and a solid supporting service history this vehicle really stands out amongst its often poorly maintained, thrashed and previously damaged peers. Its condition truly belies its age. The exterior and interior are quite simply fantastic. Looking at this car it is really is easy to see why contemporary road tests rated them so highly and why they are now so revered in the modern classic market place. If you are looking for one the very best, most attractive and original examples of this legendary model you need to see this car.
The vehicle will be fully serviced and inspected by SMC and will be independently MOT’d prior to collection for complete peace of mind
